Pamela Springer, Founder
Pamela Springer, a licensed aesthetician and aesthetics instructor, is the founder of The Skin & Makeup Institute of Arizona (SMIA – a State Board of Cosmetology licensed facility) and the Academy of Advanced Aesthetics and Permanent Cosmetics (AAAPC) a continuing education facility licensed by the Postsecondary Board of Education. Ms. Springer trains graduates in clinical treatments for pigmentation anomalies, acne, and aging. Her previous position as an educator for a major professional skincare line opened the door to her much sought after class on ethnic skins. Her unique focus is targeting hyperpigmentation with chemical exfoliates such as Jessner’s and TCA solutions. This focus has her sought after by physicians who want to incorporate ethnic skin treatments into their practice.
Ms. Springer’s executive education experience encompasses positions such as a National Training Director for Edgar Morris. She has served as a national educator for DDF, a pharmaceutical grade skincare manufacturer. Additionally, cosmetic companies such as IMAN have sought her expertise. Her background also includes teaching a college level fashion and image-consulting course. She is a highly requested speaker for corporations and women's organizations regarding skincare and cosmetic topics.
Ms. Springer’s design experience includes fashion shows and special events productions for national retail stores and major shopping centers and a makeup designer for several cosmetic companies. Her extensive media experience includes writing beauty advice columns for national women's publications; serving as a fashion spokesperson for plus sizes on local television, appearing on Oprah and radio mediums. Locally, Ms. Springer has been asked to appear as a skincare and beauty expert. She previously co-hosted a national television program for the Shopping Channel Network (QVC).
Serving on community and industry related boards are important to Ms. Springer. Presently, she serves on the boards of the American Heart Association, The Arizona Theatre Company, is President of the Greenway Medical & Professional Association and is a past member of the Arizona Board of Cosmetology.
